Barcelona's booked squad value the same as both Madrid squads combined

Despite homegrown stars Messi, Pique and Busquets not being included in the value of the squad in their annual accounts, and recent top signing Griezmann not featuring in the 2018/19 annual report, FC Barcelona had the highest book value in LaLiga in 2019

The club had player registrations of €528 million in 2019, equivalent to the combined book values of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

At 94 per cent, Valencia had the highest book value relative to their turnover. The club recorded player registrations worth €176 million in 2019, suggesting that instead of going the homegrown route, they have predominantly invested in new players.
