Atletico Madrid will supplement the salaries of their 430 non-playing employees put on the government's retention scheme to ensure they receive their full pay as usual.

The club earlier this week said their first team squad and coaches have taken a 70 per cent temporary wage reduction to offset the cost of the coronavirus pandemic. The size of the reduction will depend on the format the season is completed in – if it is completed at all.
