The Villans’ owners, Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, are ready to back the club with funds now that it has returned to the Premier League.

Sawiris and Edens saved Villa from administration by buying it and are now prepared to realise their ambitions for the club.

After winning the promotion match against Derby on Monday, Villa’s coach, Dean Smith, also praised the club, saying they deserve it.

An estimated £170 million over three years was at stake when Derby and Aston Villa played for the Premier League promotion on Monday. Villa secured the prize in a 2-1 victory and now “the sky is the limit” according to the Birmingham club’s owners.

“Our ambition was not just to get promoted but to do well in the Premier League,” said Nassef Sawiris, one of the majority shareholders of Villa, according to the Daily Mail.

“We've seen that with great management the sky is the limit, with such a fan base and such a great squad,” he added.
