Ken Anderson is ready to pursue alternatives to Laurence Bassini as Bolton Wanderers’ potential new owner if he fails to provide the necessary funding later today.

Bassini insists he has the funding and it is understood he will table a new business plan to the EFL this afternoon.

With players refusing to play until they are paid their overdue March wages, the EFL might punish Wanderers further if they fail to fulfil their remaining games.

Bolton Wanderers’ chaotic takeover could take a new twist later today. Current owner Ken Anderson is ready “to pursue other options” if the potential new owner, Laurence Bassini, does not provide the necessary funding to purchase his shares by close of play today, according to The Bolton News.
