Analysis: Who are the real big spenders on the transfer market?
- It’s hardly surprising there’s a clear link between the biggest spenders in the transfer market and the biggest clubs. But clubs like PSG and Real Madrid are also big businesses with revenues well above €600 million. It allows them to spend big.
- In this analysis, we identify the clubs who spend most on the transfer market relative to their turnover. English, Italian and French clubs dominate the list. Four clubs stand out.
