Fresh speculation about the future ownership of Tottenham Hotspur has emerged after The Financial Times reported that Iranian-American billionaire Jahm Najafi is preparing a $3.75 billion takeover bid for the Premier League club.

Najafi, the co-founder and chairman of US investment firm MSP Sports Capital, is said to be working with a consortium of investors to structure the bid and is “weeks away” from formally approaching Spurs owner Joe Lewis and the club’s chairma
