Yesterdays defeat at the Copa Libertadores shouldn't overshadow the massive commercial progress at Flamengo the last decade.

Flamengo are getting closer to purchase a Portuguese club in order to raise its global profile. They might build a global network of clubs.

Flamengo will look at clubs in Germany, Spain, France, China, Africa and the United States.

Under the Presidency of Eduardo Bandeira de Mello the revenue almost doubled in less than five years. Between 2013 and 2020, Flamengo paid off more than a billion Reais in debts.
