Plenty of passion talk, but questions remain over how Pace will grow the already overperforming club. ALK Capital started looking at Championship clubs but fell in love with Burnley.

The new club owner will spend 80 per cent of his future time in Burnley – the rest in New York and London.

American would not be drawn on club’s ownership structure, nor how highly leveraged his purchase £170 million was.
