Match of the Week Ligue 1: Financial head-to-head Paris Saint-Germain v AS Monaco

Last season, PSG surprisingly failed to lift the Ligue 1 title after winning seven out of the previous eight championships with Monaco being the only other club to be crowned as French champions in that period.

Financially, PSG is in another league compared to Monaco in terms of revenue. The Parisian’s total turnover is nine times greater and in 2019-2020, PSG’s commercial income was €286 million compared to Monaco’s €11 million.

PSG had a flying start to the season winning nine out of their first 10 games, but lately they have struggled, winning just two out of their previous five matches.

In contrast, Monaco struggled at the start of the season, but they head into Sunday's match having lost just one of their last 10 matches.
