Borussia Dortmund takes on Rangers in the first game of the knockout stages in the UEFA Europa League.

The game takes place at Signal Iduna Park in BVB's 1000th game at the stadium since its inception back in 1974.

The German side may be without their most important player, Erling Haaland, due to injury. The 21-year-old Norwegian has been relentless when playing in European competitions, having scored 27 goals in 25 games.

Financially there's a significant size gap, although Borussia Dortmund's net loss of €73 million in 2021 notably exceeded Rangers' €27 million.
