Spurs will most likely be confident in their new stadium having won eight of their last ten Champions League home games – though only the latest (1-0 vs Manchester City) was at their new ground.

Despite that, Ajax might not be too frightened as they previously won both away legs against Real Madrid and Juventus.

Looking at the finances, Ajax are miles away from the figures Tottenham are producing, but so far in the Champions League this hasn’t been a problem for the Dutch outfit.

As Ajax and Barcelona-legend Johan Cruyff said: "Why couldn’t you beat a richer club? I’ve never seen a bag of money score a goal."
