Financial head-to-head Liverpool v Atalanta

Klopp

PA Images | Liverpool thrashed Atalanta 5-0 when they met in Bergamo only three weeks ago.

There's some way from Bergamo to Liverpool – both in terms of distance and financial size. Last season's Premier League champion's turnover of €604.7 million in 2018/19 stood at more than four times that of Atalanta's €147.9 million.

Though both are playing behind closed doors at the moment, in normal times Liverpool's matchday income would far outweigh that of Atalanta and was seven times greater at 95.5 million to €13.5 million in the same year.

With a key focus on developing players, Atalanta, however, almost recorded a profit on player sales as great as Liverpool's of €38.8 million compared to their €51.3 million.
