Financial head-to-head Celtic v Lille

Celtic LOSC

PA Images | Celtic have had a terrible Europa League so far only securing one point. That point was won against Thursdays opponent Lille

A match of little significance for Celtic, who lie dead last in the group with no prospects of advancing, but a win will ensure Lille keep their spot as winners of Group H.

Comparing the two sides financially reveals Celtic have massively underperformed on the sporting side this season - with a turnover of €94.6 million in 2018/19 compared to Lille's €64.2 million.

Lille are fortunate to have generous owners, having recorded pre-tax losses exceeding €240 million over the past four seasons, while during the past five years Celtic only recorded a loss once – last season of €400,000.
