1. English FA to appoint first female chair

The English football association has nominated Debbie Hewitt MBE to become the organisation's first female chair from January 2022.

Currently the non-executive chair of Visa Europe, The Restaurant Group plc, BGL Group and White Stuff, Hewitt succeeds Greg Clarke who was forced to resign over unfortunate comments he made at an appearance before British members of parliament.
