Anfield to host women's league game for the first time ever

History will be made at Anfield next month with Liverpool FC Women playing their first league game at the ground. 

It will be a day to remember for the whole city of Liverpool as the Reds face city rivals Everton in a Merseyside derby.

History will be made next month at Anfield when Liverpool FC Women play their first league game at the historic ground. 

The fixture will be even more memorable as it will see the Reds face city rivals Everton (the first team to call Anfield home) in a Merseyside derby. 

Any Merseyside derby means so much to fans of both clubs and this will be a big occasion for the teams.

The Reds' CEO, Peter Moore, who is also chairman of LFC Women, said: 

"This is an historic moment for women's football on Merseyside.
