1. US family office acquires Italian fourth tier club
New York-based family office North Sixth Group has acquired an ownership stake in Italian Serie D side SS Campobasso, a fourth-tier club founded in 1919 playing in a 25,000-seater stadium based between Rome and Naples.
The acquisition comes after Swiss hedge fund Halley Holding in 2019 acquired a stake in the club with the goal of eventually taking it to the Serie A.
