1. Spanish government set for October ban on betting shirt sponsorships

It looks like betting sponsorship has its days numbered in Spanish football. Legislation that would ban betting operators from kit branding on sports teams could be passed as early as October, the Minister in charge of the new law told the Spanish commercial broadcaster La Sexta.
