UEFA fines Marseille for failing to abide to Financial Fair Play settlement

The French club have been fortunate to escape exclusion from next season's Champions League.
Instead, they have been sanctioned with a €3 million fine and withholding of 15 per cent of their UEFA prize money for the next three seasons.
Marseille have been fined €3 million and sanctioned with the withholding of 15 per cent of their UEFA prize money for the next three seasons for failing to abide to a Financial Fair Play (FFP) settlement from 2019.
The French club last year agreed to not exceed a loss of €30 million this season and keep within a limit of player salaries compared to their overall revenue following another breach of UEFA's FFP regulations.
