Betting companies taking over front-of-shirt deals: "Most clubs don’t really want to partner with them"

Betting companies are front-of-shirt sponsors of 26 of the 44 highest-ranked teams in England.

An expert believes the partnerships will come to an end soon with a government ban.

Until a ban is implemented, 32Red has shown the betting companies will keep getting more creative with new partnerships.

With the kick-off of a new season in both the Championship and the Premier League, one thing remains very clear: betting companies still play a massive role when it comes to front-of-shirt sponsorships. 

In the Championship, betting companies are the primary sponsors at 16 clubs, with 14 of them featuring on the clubs’ shirt fronts, while they account for ten out of 20 front-of-shirt partnerships in the Premier League - an all-time high.
