Every single club would be placed into administration at the same time, releasing both staff and players from their duties.
The measure, described as the "nuclear option", would require the accept of all 24 clubs.
Championship club owners are considering going into group administration to stop bleeding money and stave off financial disaster, according to the Daily Mail, highlighting the increasingly desperate situation clubs in the second division currently are in.
Lower-league clubs are being hit especially hard in terms of cash flow due to currently going without matchday income, on which they are heavily reliant.
