New 24/7 TV channel represents ‘change of paradigm’ for LaLiga in UK market

But Keegan Pierce, the LaLiga Global Network delegate for the UK and Ireland, notes that its entry into the UK marks “the first time in any market that LaLigaTV has been launched as a standalone individual offering on linear television.”

Standalone channel marks a shift from B2B to B2C approach in UK and Ireland with more activities to follow.

LaLiga is looking for additional digital partners to further broaden its reach in UK market.

New plans form part of aggressive international expansion which is driving strong revenue growth.

LaLiga is targeting a big away win in English football’s own backyard as its push to close the revenue gap with the Premier League gathers pace.

Earlier this month, in partnership with pay-TV network Premier Sports, it launched LaLigaTV, a new dedicated 24/7 channel in the UK and Ireland. The offering is showing all available live matches as well as a daily magazine programme and weekly highlights shows.
