German Bundesliga rocked as hugely-popular DFL boss decides to resign

Christian Seifert, CEO of the German Bundesliga, has announced his departure from the DFL in June 2022.
Seifert has been recognised as the biggest figure in German football since initially steering German football through the major challenges of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The DFL boss has been instrumental in commercialising the Bundesliga and since he joined in 2005, the DFL has raised €10 billion ($10.8 billion) in TV rights sales.
