Coronavirus: Real Betis' players, coaching staff and executives commit to 15 per cent salary reduction

The agreement was made in order to secure the club will not have to depend on the Spanish government's retention scheme.
The reduction, effective in the event the season is permanently suspended, will be less if LaLiga is allowed to finish.
Real Betis' players, coaching staff and executives have committed to a 15 per cent salary reduction, in case the season is permanently suspended, to outweigh the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis.
A series of clubs have already implemented similar cost-cutting strategies in order to offset the economic fallout of the coronavirus situation. In Spain, the number of cases has been growing rapidly and LaLiga has been postponed indefinitely.
