City Football Group acquires Belgian second division club

The group (CFG), owners of Manchester City and now eight other clubs, has added Lommel SK to its portfolio.
Lommel SK will benefit from CFG's network of clubs used for knowledge and experience sharing.
City Football Group (CFG) has acquired Belgian second division club Lommel SK, making them the ninth team in its portfolio which also includes Manchester City.
The deal comes off the back of US private equity firm Silver Lake acquiring a ten per cent stake in CFG in November last year, placing a value of $4.8 billion on the group - making it the world's most valuable among those administering association football clubs.
