He believes UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations should be expanded.
A cap on agent fees and player salaries should be introduced in football, according to the president of the German FA (DFB), Fritz Keller, who believes their rising costs alienate society.
His comments echo those of the chief executive of the German Football League (DFL), Christian Seifert, who in April indicated he was in favour of implementing a wage cap to increase the future sustainability of the game.
