AS Saint-Étienne are close to agreeing a takeover deal with Kilmer Sports Ventures, whose president is the former Arsenal and AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis, after the Ligue 2 club confirmed that exclusive negotiations are now underway with the Canadian group.

The development comes after several weeks of discussions between the two parties, and according to L'Équipe, an agreement could be announced as soon as tomorrow, with the deal expected to value the club at between €20 million and €30
