Sky reports record audience for Bundesliga return

Twice the normal amount of pay TV subscribers tuned in to the Bundesliga's first match day back from suspension.

Sky's free-to-air broadcast stole viewers from fellow broadcaster ARD's sports show.

A record number of viewers tuned in to Sky's broadcasts of the Bundesliga's first matches back from suspension, according to German magazine Kicker, in a sign consumers haven't lost their appetite for football despite its two-month absence.
