Huge cuts at FA in anticipation of £300 million loss
The FA has spelled out the financial crisis facing the governing body because of the coronavirus pandemic and told staff that budget cuts of at least £75 million will be necessary this year. In a letter to the FA Council, chairman Greg Clarke admitted that it was hard to see crowds returning to matches “any time soon” and revealed a worst-case scenario of a £300 million loss over four years.
