Manchester United poaches Hawaii-based company as new sponsor

Manchester United have made another commercial agreement with a global brand. Hawaii-based Maui Jim is now the clubs vision partner.
Apollo Tyres, Adidas, Aon, 20th Century Fox, Tag Heuer and Uber.
Just a few of the many Manchester United sponsors, and now also Maui Jim, the Hawaii-based sunglasses company, which has been named the club’s “Official Vision Partner”.
As part of the agreement, Maui Jim eyewear will be available to the club’s fans in the Old Trafford Megastore. Maui Jim will also celebrate the sponsorship by launching a co-branded eyewear collection designed with fans in mind later this year.

Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold, is pleased with the new agreement:

I’m delighted that they will be joining the United family and creating a range of exclusive eyewear pieces specifically for our fans. Our partnership with them demonstrates the club’s ability to attract the world’s most premium brands”.
How much money is involved in the agreement has not been disclosed.
In 2018, Manchester United acquired £173.2 million in sponsorship revenues, and £102.9 million in retail, merchandising, apparel and product licensing revenue.
