According to Everton’s stadium development director the new stadium will be "...a traditional, authentic, gritty football ground in a gritty, authentic northern dockland in a gritty, authentic city. It’s got four sides, it looks and feels like a proper stadium," he says.

“We didn’t really listen to the supporters probably in the previous attempts,” says Colin Chong, Everton’s stadium development director, explaining the different approach Everton are having this time on the planning process.

Bramley-Moore Dock stadium can have ‘transformational’ impact on north Liverpool.

Stadium will be platform for club’s development too, says Colin Chong.

“You’re quite right,” concedes Colin Chong. “Everton haven’t been really good at stadium development projects previously.”

This admission, from Everton’s stadium development director should surprise nobody with knowledge of the Merseyside club’s previous attempts to relocate from Goodison Park, their home since 1892.
